Processed data
Ⅰ. Own data processing
User data
The app stores your Discord ID and its hash when you interact with the app. A Discord ID is a unique identifier assigned to each Discord user. While not directly linked to personal information, it can, in combination with other data, identify an individual.
1. Scope of processing of the data
The bot only processes messages that contain a command (e.g., /factcheck [url]) or when it is tagged in a message. No other messages are read or stored. The following data is stored in the bot database:
- Discord ID
- Hash of Discord ID
- Credits balance of Discord ID, if a credits record is created by the shared bot backend
- YouTube URL submitted by the user
- Optional user focus or claim submitted with the request
- Retrieved video transcript
- Generated summary, answer, or fact-check output
- User quota / contingent, including the daily global contingent where applicable
2. Purpose of data processing
This is required to operate the app, retrieve YouTube video content, generate fact-check results, prevent abuse, and manage user access and quotas.
3. Legal basis for processing
The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR (protection of legitimate interests of the app operator).
4. Duration of storage
Discord ID and hash are stored for the entire duration of app operation. YouTube URLs, transcripts, prompts, generated outputs, and quota information are retained only as needed to provide the service, prevent abuse, enable retrieval, or until deletion is requested where deletion is technically available.
5. Possibility of objection and removal
You can request deletion of your Discord ID from the bot database. You can also request deletion of stored YouTube analysis data associated with your Discord ID by contacting info@diszy.com.
Ⅱ. Data processing by third parties
Google (Gemini)
The data processed by Google is not processed together with your Discord ID by the app, so that no direct personal reference is made by the app. However, this processing is listed for completeness.
1. Scope of data processing
The YouTube transcript, the submitted focus or claim, and the generated prompt may be sent as an input prompt to the API interface of Google (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) and processed by Google's Gemini models.
2. Purpose of data processing
Google processes the data on behalf of the person responsible. This is necessary for the operation of the app and to provide the core function of the app, namely AI-assisted fact-checking of YouTube video claims.
3. Legal basis for processing
The legal basis for the processing of your data by Google is Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. b GDPR.
4. Duration of storage
Google retains data for a limited period to provide the service. For details on retention, please refer to Google's privacy documentation.
5. Possibility of objection and removal
Google LLC is responsible for the collection and processing of data. For more information on how Google processes data, see Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and their Generative AI terms.
Your rights
You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability. You may revoke any consent given at any time. Complaints can be submitted to a supervisory authority. A list of authorities is available at: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html.

By adding the Youtube Fact Check application (Application ID: 1513786202015399999) to your or any other Discord server, you understand and agree that:
-
Message access and interaction
The Youtube Fact Check app reads message content from your server only when required for its functionality and may post messages when applicable. -
User interaction and data processing
When you interact with the app by using/factcheck [url]or by tagging @Youtube Fact Check in a Discord message, your message content is processed.
This process may include retrieving a YouTube URL, obtaining the transcript of the corresponding video, extracting factual claims, and sending the video content and your optional focus prompt to an AI processing provider.
The resulting fact-check output is then posted by the app as a Discord reply message. Message content is processed only for the duration required to fulfill the request and is not stored by the bot itself. -
Fact-check limitations
The app provides AI-assisted factual analysis and reliability signals. It may classify claims as verified, misleading, unsupported, false, or needing context based on the available video transcript and model context. The app does not guarantee completeness, legal accuracy, medical accuracy, financial accuracy, or real-time correctness. You remain responsible for independently verifying important information before relying on it. -
Data storage
The Youtube Fact Check app maintains two separate data environments:
1. Bot database (Discord-side):- Discord ID
- Hashed Discord ID
- Credits balance of Discord ID, if a credits record is created by the shared bot backend
No message content, YouTube links, transcripts, or generated fact-check outputs are stored in the bot database.
2. YouTube analysis backend:- Discord ID
- Hashed Discord ID
- YouTube URL submitted by the user
- Optional user focus or claim submitted with the request
- Retrieved video transcript
- Generated summary, answer, or fact-check output
- User quota / contingent where applicable
This information is required to provide YouTube video analysis, prevent abuse, manage quotas, and allow generated outputs to be retrieved or reused where technically available.
-
Quota and usage
Usage may be limited by fair-use quotas, shared backend capacity, or credits-related restrictions. If your credits balance reaches 0 from using other bots, service availability may be limited. -
Costs
You understand that making requests to AI APIs and YouTube analysis services on behalf of the user incurs costs for the bot operator (Niklas Mueller, Johann-Sebastian-Bach-Str. 23, 34134 Kassel, Germany, info@diszy.com). Once free usage or available credits are depleted, the user may be required to purchase credits or wait for quota renewal to continue using the app's main functionality.
Commands
| /factcheck [url] [focus: optional] [language: optional] | Fact-check the main factual claims in a YouTube video, optionally focusing on a specific claim or topic. |
Tagging
Normal message
- Without user focus: "@Youtube Fact Check [url]"
- With user focus: "@Youtube Fact Check [claim or topic] [url]" or "@Youtube Fact Check [url] [claim or topic]"
Additional information
The app checks the factual reliability of claims made in YouTube videos. It may classify claims as verified, misleading, unsupported, false, or needing context. Some videos cannot be checked because transcripts are unavailable or the video is restricted.
